Wouldn’t it be nice if we can all learn how to overcome shyness? A lot
of people consider being shy as a burden. If you are a shy person, then
you should know that it is possible to become more confident. Of
course, this is not something that can be done overnight. But this goal
is also not impossible because a lot of people around the globe do
learn how to overcome shyness all the time.
I also want to learn how to overcome shyness. Shyness has deprived me of many things so I really want to know how to overcome shyness and do it quickly. It all began with one of those spelling bees that are common in elementary school.
A group of students would form a line in front of the classroom and each would be asked to spell out a funky word such as "rendezvous." I know that you also experienced this back in the good old days when fluoride rinse was given to children on a daily basis because no one trusted children to brush their teeth properly.
Okay, maybe I’m drifting a bit off the subject. Anyway, I’m trying to say that my shyness really showed during those spelling bees. I basically stood up in front of the classroom and choked out a few letters, only to realize that I was spelling the wrong word.
I was always praying that the teacher would ask me to spell those easy to spell four letter words. I know that I would have done a lot better at those spelling bees if I knew how to overcome shyness. I could have squelched that irksome emotion that made me look like a dolt in front of the whole class.
A few of my friends suggested that I try the classic "picture everyone naked" routine. The problem is that I can’t stop myself from laugh hysterically every time I tried it. To make things worse, some of the folks watching are not always the people I want to see without their clothes.
Fortunately, there are a few alternate ways to learn how to overcome shyness in this day and age. You can try the World-Wide-Web if you want to find the most popular and effective ways of becoming more confident.
