A Quick Lesson on How to Unlock a Cell Phone |
|
|
I recently purchased a cell phone that boasts a lot of features. It
took me a few weeks to learn about how to use all those nifty features
I got. However, there was one important thing that I forgot to figure
out. I accidentally locked my phone and I realized that I do not know
how to unlock a cell phone.
I was in the middle of typing a text
message when I hit the wrong button. I was surprised when my cell phone
suddenly made a noise and informed me that it was locked. I need to
know how to unlock a cell phone, but the owner’s manual was out of
reach since I was not at home.
My cell phone asked me for a code when I tried to press a button. I had no idea what the code was, and I certainly had not chosen one. I didn’t even know that I could lock a phone, so I had no idea how to unlock a cell phone.
It suddenly crossed my mind that most things that have codes often come with a default code that is useable until you can enter your own code. Fortunately, it turned out that the code that was once a default on my answering machine also works on my new phone.
It would be a good idea to learn how to unlock a cell if you want to buy a new phone. You will encounter some problems if you leave your phone on the default setting. This is especially important if you have a prepaid phone, because if some dishonest persons stole your phone, they will know how to unlock it, and they can keep it.
Since prepaid phones have no contract, the thieves can simply buy minutes and there will be nothing you can do to get it replaced. You have to learn how to unlock a cell phone, and how to change your code so that thieves cannot easily unlock your phone.
Call your service provider, or go into the nearest dealer store you can find if you do not know how to unlock a cell phone. They may have to verify who you are and that you are indeed the owner of the phone before they give you instructions on how to unlock a cell phone. They may be able to help you get your phone working again, and tell you how to program your own code once they are sure it is indeed your phone.
